chapter two: endings and new beginnings

Theia felt bittersweet as she sprung up in the sky. She knew most witches stay until they are eighteen but that would’ve meant giving up her magic completely by the end of it and she didn’t want that. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes, the broom was stable and the slight breeze felt good on her skin. Fumi touched her hand to remind her she was not alone… A smoky bunny is a familiar only found on special occasions. Theia found Fumi out adventuring one of the days. The little bun was so small, hopping in sight on the other side of a puddle. Theia looked up and she knew. They needed each other. She took her in and have been together ever since.

Nyssa was ecstatic, she smiled at Laurie, her familiar frog and sprung up to the sky. She waved to her family as they cheered her on and said she’ll send back a letter from when she arrives. She wasn’t sure yet which town to set her eyes on but she knew she’d figure it out. She had a rough idea of direction and with the trees changing their leaves, her new adventure began. Laurie was happy, too. He always wanted to fly out and see the world. Green frogs were believed to bring good luck and a sense of adventure so this was right up his street. Nyssa was laughing as a slight breeze touched her hair.

N: Laurie this is so fun!
L: *happy adventurer face*
